September 8, 2020 dawned bright and beautiful but with high wind warnings. Our region had thus far escaped fire but that ended at about 11:30am. I had driven to a doctor’s appointment in Medford, OR from my home just over the border in Yreka, CA. The fire that started shut down Interstate 5 which kept me from going home. I found safety with friends and we watched in horror as the towns of Talent and Phoenix, Oregon burned, leaving many people homeless and without a business.
Showers of Blessing is my heartfelt desire to help people affected by wild fires in California and Oregon. As everyone knows there have been many fires in the west this year and last. The Red Cross is always one of the first groups on the scene to help. I will be donating all profits from the sale of Showers of Blessing to the Red Cross Western Wildfire fund through the next few months.
So far between this site and my Etsy shop $50.00 has been donated. Please remember 100% of the proceeds from the sales of this pattern goes directly to the Red Cross.
Pattern includes:
-list of all DMC threads used
-black and white chart
-full color picture for reference
If stitched on a 14 count Aida or 28 count linen/evenweave the finished peice would measure approximately 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches and is 60 x 60 stitches. I plan on stitching this on 28 count Sterling Lugana by Picture This Plus.
