She is 65 by 65 stitches and stitched on the suggested cloth measures 5” x 5”. Traditional Groundcloth is a 100% cotton, 26 count (13 sts to the inch over two threads) fabric and is a modern reproduction of the traditional handwoven fabric that is most common to Greek folk embroidery. Imported by Krista West of Avlea Folk Embroidery it has a lovely, soft hand, which is very satisfying to work with. Its warm ivory color looks great with lots of colors of floss. Any neutral colored evenweave or linen fabric would work for the whole Animal Alphabet Series but I hope you will give Traditional Groundcloth a try!
